The ‘beta’ label means you’re looking at the first public version of a new web site.

Since we’re in a test mode it means that we don’t think the site is complete yet:

• not all of the content will be there and it won’t necessarily be fully designed and optimised
• we may throw away some parts of the site, rename sections and restructure as we’re working
• while we’ll be doing accessibility testing and starting to work on our accessibility statements, these won’t necessarily be complete and we might introduce some components that have accessibility flaws – we’ll test these and correct them but there might be times where we haven’t finished this yet.

By the end of our beta phase, we will have decided which of the ideas we’ve worked on will be suitable for taking live.
